Background
Third-country nationals holding a valid residence permit in Germany can bring their spouse and children’s. The Immigration Authorities in Germany have established a special visa for this purpose.
Who is Eligible?
- The spouse residing in Germany must have a valid residence permit
- Capable of financing the other partner/spouse
- The spouse in another country must have basic German Knowledge. But EU Blue card holders are exempted from this requirement
How to apply Visa?

All the documents must be either in German or in English. Once all the documents per checklist are ready, an appointment can be booked at the German consulate or embassy in the home country.
