How I took the B1 Goethe certificate in 9 months starting from the start

Hello everyone, We all understand how painful life seems to be with the Covid-19 right now. To shed some light in this darkness, I’ll share with you all how I was able to learn and write German B1 exam from Goethe in India.
In 2019 December I joined Goethe institute in India and I must admit by January my classes h.ad stopped due to Corona and I was in vain. I started with A1 and by the end of A1 I was asked to stop due to the Pandemic.

I live in a country where we speak almost 10 different languages but no one is interested in learning european languages. The matter of the fact is that i was all alone trying to find a solution on top of the hardships COVID 19 was giving me.

My German is still not great but i am sure i can manage myself in between any German now. :D. I will now tell you a few things I learned on my own, I hope these are useful to my friends too. 😀

Step 1: A Person to speak. Find one!

You will only know how good or bad you are when you speak to others and hear them speak. SO find a way to speak. Today you can find friends who speak German online and the best way is to find a person whom you can speak freely and it will be the best learning process. Speak as much as you can and get corrected as well. Best of Luck in finding a friend.

Step 2 : Youtube. The Video Library !

Download videos and listen, watch and listen to them carefully. Daily do this for 1 or 2 hours and slowly start watching small German movies. Then slowly you will start to memorize the objects and speaking accent of the German language.

Tipp 2: The Book Store

I was lucky that my Institute had 100´s of books and small ones that helped me to read more. Even pictures helped me like hell. I am thankful to my institute and I will surely do more to make my German as good as possible, I know I have to try more and learn more and I am sure I can and I will. I assure everyone that if you have a will you will surely succeed. Best of luck to all my friends out there. Helpful links online:
